BAC meeting held to finalize the agenda for ensuing budget session

AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Keeping eyes on the upcoming budget session at the Tripura Assembly, BAC has conducted a meeting on Tuesday at the Tripura Assembly.

Reportedly, the meeting has been conducted to finalize the agenda for the ensuing budget session which is expected to initiate from March 18.

At the meeting members of all the political parties were present.

It is to be mentioned here that the five-day long budget session is expected to continue till April 7.

According to report, on the first day of the budget session the budget for the financial year 2016-2017 will be placed.

Besides, the Yusuf Commission report is expected to be public on the last day of the budget session.

It is to be mentioned here that the Budget will be placed even before routine question hours. During the budget session, the much awaited case of Yusuf Commission report is expected to be public.

It is  to be mentioned here that Public prosecutor in behalf of government demanded some more time and stated that the report will be made public in the next assembly session which will be hoist by the state government from March 18.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Subhasish Talapatra asked to place Yusuf Commission’s report in the coming Budget session.

However, despite of several demands made by the opposition parties to make the report public but due to some issue it could not be done. However, the Tripura High Court has asked the State Government to public the report in the budget session.

It is to be mentioned here that as ailing Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha is now in Delhi for necessary medical test at AIIMS, Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty is expected to table the budget for the financial year 2016-2017.

Keeping eye on the security measure during the budget session hour speaker of Tripura Assembly imposed some restrictions on the movement of members, staffs and audiences in the assembly premises for security reason during the budget session.

According to the direction, no person or vehicle except rickshaw are allowed to enter in the session without having valid pass till the ending of session.
