AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): On the occasion of the World Dentist Day, an oral health awareness rally has been organized on Sundayat Agartala.

The rally walked across the major parts of the city with aim to aware the common mass about the healthy gum and its precaution.

The rally has initiated from in front of the IGM Hospital and walked all across the major parts of the city.

It is to be mentioned here that the day is observed every year to raise awareness about dental health among the common mass. On this day the Indian Dentists Association (IDA) organizes various tooth awareness initiatives to spread the knowledge of healthy tooth and gum.

The initiative of organizing the rally has been taken by the health and Family Welfare department and Indian Dentists Association (IDA).

It is to be mentioned here that the dental treatment is carried out by a team of dental doctors which consist of dentist and dental auxiliaries.  

However, the dentist also encourages the prevention of oral diseases through maintaining proper hygiene.

Besides, the people are also urged to for regular check up of the dental including twice in a year with professional cleaning and evaluation.

Conditions in the oral cavity may be indicative of systemic diseases such as osteoporosis, diabetes, or cancer.

However, the day is being celebrated as the World Dentist’s Day to say thank you to the dentist and to show appreciation to your dentist.

During the rally, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dr. Prafullajit Sinha, Chandan Das President of the organization, IGM Super Radha Debarma and others.
