TELIAMURA, March 5 (TIWN) : Poor quality’s roadway construction state-wide, has made daily transports risky and totally uncomfortable in all over the state. Reportedly, in rural and urban bodies the condition is very pathetic and almost all the areas are suffering from such conditions of roads.

According to the reports the roadway from Kalyanur to Sarbang area is in its worse shape, although the road was repaired just before few months.

Allegations are coming that due to the poor quality of work the road has become pathetic. Accidents have become very common at there and the road is in such a shape that nobody can walk in bare feet. The road comes under the West Kunjaban village, Kalyanpur Block.

It was constructed before 2 years by PWD Dept. and after that repairing was also done. But the road is left is in very deplorable shape and every part of the road is broken presently covering atleast 3 km area.

From cars to bike, from bicycle to pedestrians all are the sufferers due to the bad condition of road, and during night time it gets more dangerous. The bricks which were used in that road have fully come out and the road is just full of wholes and broken bricks and other materials.

In rainy season  it gets its worst shape and the number of accidents and injuries increases thus.

However, locals are in demand to repair the road as soon as possible. Due to the poor quality of work held by PWD before 2 years the road has gone its worst shape, alleged locals.

Whereas crores of funds are allocated for the road construction work but there is no sign of proper utilization of central funds in Tripura.

  However, the Ministers of the state are least bothered about the condition of the roadways, as they used to prefer chopper rides instead of daily travelling. As a result, the bribe happy officers, local contractors are embezzling central funds every year.
