KAMALPUR, Feb 21 (TIWN): State BJP President along with other state portfolio holders met with the media persons at Kamalpur Press Club today. Interacting on cow-dung issue he condemned the role of the state government and the police saying, “No where in India such henious act of spreading cow-dung over the face of Prime Minister has ever taken place.
And it becomes also evident and clear from the posters that, the incident has been committed by the Communists, who raised anti-India slogans at JNU.” He further condemned the role of police for delaying 48 hours to register the FIR lodged on 17th February, the very day of the incident.
In his words “Police and the entire administration has become the party-loyal organizations violating all the norms and rules. Otherwise, the administration should lodge FIR against the incident as Narendra Modi is the Prime Minsiter of the country.”
While answering about the delayed action from the part of the BJP on this issue, Biplab Deb admitted the organizational weakness as cause and also declared that within next six to eight months BJP would gain the full momentum. However, he also assured to make the cow-dung issue a state wide issue and also assured of adopting campaigns against it.
While asked about the ensuing VC election, he clearly declared that, the party would go to the people with development benchmarks of the Central government and the failures of the Manik’s government. He also hinted that, the party would launch a media of its own shortly in the state. BJP State Secretary Tapas Majumder, State Treasurer Rajib Bhattacharjee and local leaders accompanied him in the Press Meet.
However, it might be mentioned here that, after the coverage of cow-dung issue by TIWN and some other media focusing BJP’s inactivity, the Party adopted some measures in that issue.
