AGARTALA, Feb 18 (TIWN) : Day long road blockade by farmers has hit the daily life at Teliamura. Reportedly, at Teliamura farmers blocked the road, when no businessmen were buying their crops.
Reportedly, on Thursday, when the farmers came to sell their products in Teliamura market, any businessmen of that market was ready to buy their harvests.
Asking the businessmen they said that they can not buy the products as no vehicle is taking vegetables from them.
However, the drivers said, if a small amount of vegetable is taking extra, then the police charges them and as a result they have to give fine to them.
In every Thursday & Friday the farmers come to the market and sell their crops to the local businessmen of that place.
Farmers are in demand that their crops should be sold, otherwise they will come in massive protest. The local authority has been informed about the problem.
However, allegations are coming against police that whenever they get few fines, they don't charge the driver for over-loading.
