KALYANPUR (Khowai), Feb 16 (TIWN) : Although CPI-M claims for bringing ‘rapid development’ in ADC areas, but in reality ADC areas’ people are suffering due to the lack of basic facilities.

During the VC election campaigns CPM Ministers including the CM, propagate themselves for bringing the so called ‘development’ in the state.

The rural people also, who are least bothered about the real meaning of development are unknown of the facts blindly continuing to vote for CPM.

Reportedly, although every year, crores of funds are allocated from the centre, but the ruling govt. and its various Panchayats are very shy to utilize the funds for welfare of people.

TIWN has covered few areas of ADC Village, under Khowai Dist. and  the lack of available facilities inside the villages.

But shockingly, no proper water source has been found at none of the ADC areas.

The Nakshirai village, under Kalyanpur (No-3 ward) Devatabari area has been hit by various kind of crisis, among which the water crisis is the highest. Reportedly, there is no arrangement for pure water in that village.

Since many years the condition is like that. But no initiative is taking by Kalyanpur Drinking water and sanitation Dept. As a result water born diseases have gripped that whole area.

Villagers namely, Mathrai Debbarma and Ramu Debbarma have expressed their angers while they were talking with TIWN correspondent.

It’s worthy to mention here that election comes & goes but CPI-M's promises never end.

Every time before the election common people are promised by the Ministers about the facilities and developments, which would bring, after the party will win the election. But unfortunately, all these promises remains as ‘Empty-Promises’ once the election is gone.

However, talking to the villagers they said that they are used to such situations. Drinking water’s crisis is a common thing at there. Despite of several complaints regarding water scarcity made by the locals, the authority is least bothered to look in to the situation.

The women residing in the far-flung areas carry 4 to 5 pots full of water over their head covering huge distance to meet the basic need of their family. Bearing the burden of walking miles in search of water goes to vain when the families comes under the grip of water borne diseases.
