AGARTALA, Feb 10 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar certainly deserves a special 'national award' for converting Tripura as the most dangerous state for women as rampant crimes, child rapes happening across State daily. Lameduck CM entrusted Police administration in the hand of CBI chargesheeted IPS official K.Nagraj and State's bureaucracy, civic administration in the hands of nationally known corrupt IAS official G.S.G.Ayyangar. Tripura Police (Director General of Police) DGP K.Nagraj - a highly corrupt official who was chargesheeted by CBI in 2007 for amassing massive wealth of over 500 times of his known sources of income, CBI case is still in progress. Suspicious failures of Tripura Police raising questions as CPI-M’s blessing saving murderers, scamsters under tainted DGP Nagraj. Tripura has the second highest rate of crimes against women in the northeast after Assam at 1,615 in 2013, but no more than 13.8 perccent of cases awaited investigation in most of the cases either closed or not filed.A 14 yr old tribal girl was brutally raped in Tripura on republic day but Chief Minister or his coterie yet to take any actions or even doesn't care to visit victim's family.

CPI-M’s face-saving diplomacy of suspension-drama of ‘child-rapist’ MLA Manoranjan Acharjee, people are aghast with Tripura police for their lackluster attitude in filing proper charge-sheets causing lack of convictions.

Troubled by the lack of confidant and pet IAS officers in the state bureaucracy who would have no problem in taking directions under his regime, Tripura Chief Minister brought back his blue eyed boy Dr. GSG Ayyangar even before the completion of deputation term of the latter with the Department of Sports Govt. of India.

Dr. Ayyangar who was working as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Sports Govt of India for a period upto August 17, 2015 - was brought back to Tripura by Manik Sarkar to hide rampant MGNREGA corruptions and enriching CPI-M party funds.

According to sources in the secretariat, Dr. Ayyanger was promised of Chief Secretary’s post in 2017.It may be mentioned here that during his last stay in the state, newspaper reports about his involvements in different corruptions were doing the round.During his earlier deputation term on inter-cadre deputation, Dr. Ayyangar, was repatriated to the state over his alleged involved in the timers scandal, which rocked the municipal administration department of Hyderabad.

Timer scandal: Probe nails 4 IAS officers

HYDERABAD: The Vigilance & Enforcement V&E) probe into the timer scandal has nailed four IAS officers — G S G Ayyangar, P Sisodia, Lingaraju Panigrahi and P K Mohanty — and three engineers.

The probe was initiated after the government ordered an inquiry into the purchase of 7,002 timer devices at an exorbitant price of Rs 8.12 crore by the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad.

The V&E has in its report, submitted to the government on Monday, recommended booking criminal cases against Ayyangar recently repatriated to his parent Tripura cadre) and Sisodia (currently Nalgonda collector) under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Names of 10 IAS officers disclosed

Hyderabad: The State government on Tuesday disclosed names of ten officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) against whom Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) recommended action

The officers whose names were disclosed on Tuesday are as follows: Vinod Kumar G. Agarwal, G. Narendranath, S. Bhale Rao, R.S. Goel, Priyadarshi Dash, B. Narasiah, B. Krupanandam, D. Varaprasad, D.R. Garg, and G.S.G. Ayyangar.

BJP former State Chief Sudhindra while talking to TIWN mentioned that the present ruling govt. as well as the Police dept. both are sheltering criminals as Sushil Choudhury by not submitting any strong charge sheet against the criminals.

As a result, accused murderers like Sushil Choudhury are enjoying freedom even the after triple murder, said Dasgupta.

It is to be mentioned that, Sushil Choudhury who was accused of murdering 3 persons, even police collected evidences but successfully police hidden all the key evidences from charesheet to save criminal. Due to police’ failure in submitting strong charge sheet, High Court had no option other than releasing Sushil after finding him not-guilty.

Question arises, why CPI-M Govt didn’t appeal the case again in Supreme Court or appealed for re-judgement of the case of Sushil Choudhury?  Tripura police did same with the Rs 51 crore MGNREGA scamaster Bimal Chakraborty case.

Deliberately Tripura Police under DGP Nagraj failed to submit charge-sheet within 180 days which caused Bimal to go scot-free out of jail. After Bimal and Sushil’s release in high profile cases due to Police failure points to suspicious money transactions in Govt and Police higher-ups to hush up the high-profile cases.

Either common men’s lives got no value to the poor people’s govt. or Manik ruled govt. doesn’t wish to interfere in high profile cases as CPI-M party needs money from scams.

Tripura Police Dept failing in nailing criminals due to weak investigation and poor chargesheets under scam tainted DGP Nagraj. CBI Filed chargesheet against IPS officer .Nagraj Kasinadhuni on March 29, 2007 for  amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Prior to that CBI had registered the disproportionate assets case against him in 2005, filed  FIR. CBI on March 29,2007 charge-sheeted Mr. K. Nagraj for possessing assets 500 times more than his known source of income.

Nagraj, an IPS officer of the 1983 batch of the Manipur-Tripura cadre, was charge-sheeted along with his father and brother in the court of the Special Judge, Hyderabad, for possessing assets in his own name as well as in the names of his family members. Investigations by CBI revealed that during 1978 to 1997, the officer had acquired assets and incurred expenditure to the tune of Rs 83.42 lakh against an income of Rs 13.24 lakh from all his known sources of income.

“The officer was found to have possessed disproportionate assets to the tune of over Rs 70 lakh during the period that is to the tune of more than 500 per cent compared to the known sources of income,” said G Mohanty, spokesperson of CBI in 2007.  CBI case against Nagraj is still in motion even though so called ‘clean’ Chief Minister decided to hand over Tripura Police Department to one of the most corrupt IPS officer in country.

Now question arises - other than Manik Sarkar who else can be blamed for turning Tripura as the rape capital of North East as Manik appointed all corrupt officials in police and civic administrations to destroy State's law & order in past decade.
