UDAIPUR, Feb 5 (TIWN): Demanding to slow down the speed of the goods loaded truck, locals of Chandrapur Colony Market under Udaipur sub-division on Friday staged road blockade at Udaipur-Sabroom National Highway.
Reportedly, the traders along with the locals of Chandrapur Colony Market under Udaipur sub-division, staged road blockade at Udaipur-Sabroom National Highway.
However, the blockade lead to traffic disruption in the area creating problem for the passerby as it was the peak time for the office employees.
According to the reports, for prolonged many days the residence and the traders were facing trouble due to the movement of goods truck in speed.
It is to be mentioned here that as the construction work is going on for the railway station at Chandrapur, the vehicles carry mud and other goods due to which the roads get dirty and the shops also get dirty with the mud.
The locals complained that with the movement of the vehicles in speed, the shops turns muddy and gets dirty. Besides, they also complained that students of Chandrapur Colony Higher Secondary School also faces problem to cross the roads due to the speedy movement of the vehicle.
They further mentioned that earlier several complained has been placed to the higher authority but till day no initiatives has been taken to control the situation.
Even they have urged the vehicle drivers but no one took the initiatives to look into the situation.
Therefore, reacting over the situation the locals including the traders staged a road blockade.
Getting alarm about the situation, OC of R.K Pur Police Station Dipendu Roy along with the police troops rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
However, during the discussion the owners of the vehicles assured that they will instruct the vehicle drivers to drive slowly while covering the area.
However, getting assurance from the owners and the police the protestor withdrawn the blockade.
