AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation Ram Kripal Yadav on Friday in a press meet at State Guest House applauded state government for holistic development in the state.
He also expressed satisfaction over the holistic approach of development in the state along with development in the sector of drinking water and sanitation facility for the people of the state.
Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation Ram Kripal Yadav further appreciated the state government's effort to bring new heights of development in the state with comparing to the other states of the nation.
Apart from the state government he also urged to the common people to work with an aim to bring new revolution of development in the state.
It is to be mentioned here that Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation Ram Kripal Yadav has arrived in Agartala on a 2 day visit on Thursday. The Minister after reaching Agartala attended the Retreat ceremony in Akhaura border Check post and also visited the Integrated Check post in Akhaura Border. He also met a team of Children from Jiribam of Manipur who are on a 7 day National Integration Tour to Tripura in the check post.
He also held a review meeting with representatives of Tripura and Manipur on Rural drinking water and sanitation in Agartala and also visited state Level water Testing Lab in Agartala.
Later a Review meeting of Tripura and Manipur on Rural drinking water and sanitation was held at State Guest House in Agartala. The meeting was attended by officials from Manipur and Tripura.
However, Ram Kripal Yadav is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha of India from the Pataliputra parliamentary constituency, Central Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation (India) and aide of Indian politico Lalu Prasad Yadav. He represented the Patna constituency of Bihar in the 14th General Elections, 2004 by defeating C. P. Thakur of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). He was a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) political party.
On 8 March 2014 Ramkripal Yadav resigned from his party post. Yadav, who wanted to contest from Pataliputra seat on 12 March he joined BJP and in 2014, he won the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat defeating his niece and Lalu Yadav daughter Misa Bharti.
