Preparation on peak for Republic Day celebrations

AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the ensuing celebration of the Republic Day on January 26 the state has geared up with all possible preparation for the republic day celebrations.

With just counting days left for the Republic day celebration, the workers are found cleaning the old tank located at post office chowmuhani.

To observe an error free celebration of the republic day in the state, Security has been beefed up across Tripura and an alert has been sounded along the 856-km-long porous international border to maintain peace during the Republic Day celebrations.

Reportedly, as a part of the preparation TSR, Tripura Police, BSF and Assam rifles are busy in parade practice at ground of Assam Rifles.

As part of day-long celebration, the main function is expected to take place at Assam Rifles ground.

Keeping eye on the safety and security of the station patrolling has increased in the state and a heavy security blanket is thrown around the capital for the Republic Day celebration.

Security measures are also tightened in the Agartala airport.

Elaborate traffic arrangements will also been made for the event.

Patrolling in crowded market areas has been intensified and checking and frisking in bus terminals tightened in the past few days. Security at the Agartala airport will also be tightened in the coming days. Checking and frisking have also been intensified at all entry points with Police setting up barricades to keep a vigil on all those entering the capital.

Along with the Nation, Tripura is also gearing to celebrate Republic Day with pomp and gaiety on January 26.

To mark the Republic Day, almost all the schools, colleges, government and non-government organizations are also preparing to participate.

It is to be mentioned here that Republic day in India is celebrated every year with great honour on January 26 to honour the Constitution of India as it came into force on the same day in the year 1950.

Along with the Jawans the students of several schools will also participate in the celebrations of the republic day on January 26.
