AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the 12-hour long strike in three Districts on January 18 called by Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee, members of the committee to leave for the concern Districts on Sunday.
Talking to TIWN Correspondent on Saturday, PCC President Birajit Sinha said that thousand of picketer will be there to during the 12-hour long strike in all the three districts.
It is to be mentioned here that the Committee is going to stage 12-hour long strike in three districts which include Unakoti, Dhalai and North District.
Speaking about the preparation of the 12-hour long protest, Sinha said that huge preparation is going on among the members for their participation.
Besides, he also mentioned that the member will leave for the concern district by 12 pm in the afternoon of Sunday.
However, mentioning about the members of the committee who are going to participate in the protest, PCC President said that it is expected most of the leaders from the capital will participate and the other leaders of the concern district will also participate.
It is to be mentioned here that the 12-hour long protest will be staged, demanding to to establish railway division at Dharmanagar, to extend the area of the Kailashahar Airport for the betterment of the people, to continue the service at the Kamalpur Airport, to establish new block at Fatikrai, to set up fire extinguisher at Chailangta.
Earlier in a press conference, PCC President Birajit Sinha said that that the party demanded for a specialist doctor at Chailengta Sub-division hospital, to work on water sanitation in the National Highway of Ambassa city.
However, altogether the protest will be staged with 20 charters of demands which includes to provide land to the families to urged for land under Forest Act, also to construct houses for the beneficiary families under IAY, to take initiatives for the families who had invested their money in chit fund companies and lost, to set CBI investigation over the prolonged embezzlement of crores of fund at block level in the name of development.
Besides, the demand also includes to take strict initiatives to curb growing domestic violence and crime against women. Besides, many other demands have been placed.
