Weather forecast predicts minimum temperature to fall in the coming days

AGARTALA, Jan 3 (TIWN): Though there was slight relief from the winter in Tripura over past few days, however, the weatherman on Saturday predicted that the minimum temperature to fall in the coming days.

Talking to TTIWN correspondent, Weather watchers in Agartala have predicted partly cloudy sky followed by fog in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is to be mentioned here that during past few days, Tripura got slightly relieved from the shivering cold in the state as the minimum temperature kept on hovering around 10 degree celsius

The Meteorological Department confirmed that Tripura got slightly relieved from the shivering cold as the minimum temperature stands at 10 degree Celsius and the temperature will rise up to 12 degree Celsius on Wednesday.

Maximum Day temperature in Tripura on Saturday was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.8 degree Celsius.

On the other hand the maximum temperature rise to 27 degree Celsius marks. Minimum temperature recorded was 12 degrees Celsius in the day and there is possibility that the temperature will fall in the night.

In its forecast for Sunday, weatherman said that the sky to remain partly cloudy followed by light fog.

However, actual winter days will prevail in the state by weekend once the wind pattern which is said to be in transition is settled, the forecast said.

Tripura had recorded its lowest temperature in winter at 2° C in 1972.

Mostly during the winter season, life observed crippled across the state because of the chill and attendance seem to get poor in most schools and government offices. The streets wore a deserted look and business establishments were closed.

Generally, in Tripura winter starts from November. This year it has started from the month of December.
