AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): Continuous deaths of patients in the two referral hospitals of the state, IGM and AGMC over last few days allegedly due to the wrong treatment has brewed up resentment among the mind of the people. In last two days there are reports of two deaths, who died in the two different referral hospitals, but so far Health Minister Badal Choudhury is silent over the issues. Tripura's Healthcare system further deteriorated under Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's 'Golden Era' as Hospitals tuned out to be life taking zone. Fuming over the negligence in the treatment by the doctors which led to the death of 2 people in a row at IGM and AGMC hospitals brewed resentment among the doctors and deceased family members. Just before people could recover from the shock of the death of a patient in AGMC hospital allegedly due to the wrong treatment, one more death of another patient at IGM hospital brewed tensions across the state. It is alleged that both the patient died due to the wrong treatments by the doctors and due to the pushing of wrong injection to the body of the patients. The deceased patients are identified as Bhagaban Das and Sujoy Banik.
However, while contacted Health Minister Badal Choudhury over the issue, he simply denied commenting anything on the issue which brings forward the lacklustre attitude of the Health Minister towards the people.Several patients had lost their lives here in AGMC cum GB Pant hospital due to the wrong treatment and the system remains unchanged yet today.
The poor condition of the government hospital in the state is prolonging for last several years and since then there is no report of any development. Despite of the several tall claims no much of improvement is noticed in the health service of the state. Still today lack of treatment and improper treatment is taking away the lives of the people in the state.
Carelessness of the Doctors and Staff in the Hospital risks the lives of the people under the Manik’s Golden era.
But despite all odds the AGMC managed to get a tag of the ‘e-hospital’ service which failed to administer better health service to the common masses of the state and as a result a large section of patients are still depended on abroad health care facilities.
Still today in this so called golden era, people face negligence in the major referral Hospital of the State.
