AGARTALA, Dec 5 (TIWN): Whether the whole state is arising questions on CM’s visit via helicopters in this election-rally, on the other hand CPI-M state president Bijan Dhar stretched the issue in support of Manik Sarkar by saying that, “CM’s helicopter’s fare is the gathered money by party members and this not govt.’s fundâ€.
Dhar further said that helicopter is not an issue to make here and whoever will book it first he can ride. “The security matter however is taken care by the govt. but the election campaign’s fund belongs to CPI-M”, said Dhar.
Dhar also said, “Any person can visit in helicopter, not necessary he or she will have to be a Minister”. “Opposition parties are making unnecessary issues as they need some issues to make”, said Dhar.
However, it’s to be mentioned here that although CPI-M here in Tripura claims to be a poor party but in this Municipal Election, this party is spending money to such an extent, that it no way seems like a poor party.
Moreover, although CM claims to be the poorest Chief Minister of India, but party has given him all the luxuries of a high profile person. So question arises, what’s point to be poor then if a person freely enjoying all kinds of luxuries.
However, it will be worthy to mention that according to 2012’s data although CPI-M was almost vanished from all states of India (except Tripura) but CPI-M stood 4rth in the list of owner of huge funds.
2012’s data of survey done by “NATIONAL ELECTION” the property belongs to various parties are:
1. Indian National Congress: Rs 2008.71 crore
2.Bharatiya Janata Party: Rs 994.76 crore
3. Bahujan Samaj Party: Rs 484.28 crore
4. CPIM: RS. 417.26 crore
5. SP RS. 278.55 crore
6. AIADMK RS. 59.97 crore
7. TDP RS. 53.90 crore
8. DMK RS. 44.28 crore
9. SHIV SENA RS. 32.90 crore
10. JDU RS. 26.68 crore
But in Tripura whether CPI-M has always claimed for having the poorest fund, but the reality came out when in this local body poll CM failed to maintain his image as a “Poor Chief Minister” especially with his helicopter ride.
However, it’s very common part on CPI-M party here in Tripura that being unknown to common men’s agony the Ministers of Tripura avoid travelling through National Highway, prefers airways. For example Minsiter Bijita Nath often meets her relatives via helicopter at North Tripura.
Ministers here in Tripura stopped at a point of slogan and with few tall claims. Many plans and ideas are proagated by Ministers to renovate the National Highway, but in reality they did nothing. However, the deplorable condition or the bad shape of road-ways does not affect the Minister’s lives at all as they prefer to chose helicopters rather than highway’s transport system.
Badal Choudhury in his last visit also reached here at Unokoti by helicopter. Moreover, locals alleged that Minister Bijita Nath often travels here, but only by helicopter. Nath atleast visits here to meet her relatives atleast 3 times a week.
So doesn’t matter how much the state govt. blames the centre for price hikes. In reality, blaming the centre is a part of their diplomacy rather than their interest in common men’s lives.
