AGARTALA, Dec 3 (TIWN): Just when the date of the Municipal Election is knocking at the door, all the political parties has been enthusiastically attending rallies all across the state.
It is to be mentioned here that this time CPI-M party keeping in mind of upcoming 2018 assembly election and survival as Indian Communists last bastion in tiny Tripura, party has started preparation for clear victory in full swing.
On the other hand the oppositions are also not leaving any chance to urge votes towards the people for the upcoming election.
The leaders claimed to serve the interests of the common people, fight communalism and pursue an independent foreign policy. It is for the people to determine what shape the alternative government is to take, urged the leaders while participating in the door to door campaign.
However, the Municipal election will held on December 9 and the counting will be conducted on December 12.
Besides, for the first time Manik Sarkar has been addressing 11 gatherings in 49 wards of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) with rest meetings in 13 municipal councils and 6 Nagar Panchayats.
However, addressing a gathering at Kamalpur recently, BJP State President Sudhindra Dasgupta claimed that most of the remarkable development happening in the state including broad-gauge and bus services of Agartala-Dhaka-Kolkata were initiated under the NDA led Modi Government.
It is to be mentioned here that all the political parties are trying their best to influence the people to cast their votes to them.
Besides, Door to door campaign, political gatherings, everything is organised to woo the voters just ahead of municipal election. Flags, festoons, banners, posters have fill the streets to woo the voters
