Movement for backward people education held mass demonstration, hit streets at North gate

AGARTALA, Dec 2 (TIWN): Movement for backward people education along with the support of All Tripura NGOs Association on Wednesday organized a mass demonstration at Northgate against the sentimental decision taken by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education for the madhyamik drop-out S.T. students.

Alleging negligence of the State Government over demands,  Movement for backward people education   on Wednesday  staged a mass demonstration, demanding to cancel the earlier advertisement where the drop our students have to seat for the exam according to the allocated centres.

Raising slogan against the sentimental decision taken by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education for the madhyamik drop-out S.T. students, Movement for backward people education along with the support of All Tripura NGOs Association held massive rally from Vivekananda stadium. However, the rally was stopped by the police at Northgate and only a representative team of 10 people were allowed to place deputation to the TBSE Chairman Mihir Deb on Wednesday.

It is to be mentioned here as per the decision the students have to seat for the exam as per the centres whether it is near of far, it has become problem for them. Mostly the poor families have face problem.

They said that if the Government allows the student to seat for the exam in the nearby school from their coaching centre than it would have been helpful for the students and their families, as they do not have to pay any extra money for the house where they have to stay as tenant during the exam tenure.

According to the members of the association, despite of prolonged demands the education department and the state government are not taking any initiative to help the madhyamik drop-out S.T. students.

However, it is to be mentioned that as the authority did not take any initiative for the needy students the association held a massive protest and blocked the street at circuit house.

They have been holding demonstration against the sentimental decision taken by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education for the madhyamik drop-out S.T. student’s nut no action is taken so far.

Failing to get any assurance from the state government, Movement for backward people education held mass demonstration at North gate and a representative place a deputation to TBSE chairman to look into their demand.  The association decided to take further vibrant steps if no action is taken against to fulfil their demands.
