AGARTALA, November 9 (TIWN): Most awaited Diwali festival to begin within 24-hour at Tripureshwari Mandir, keeping eye on it along with the Nation the State has also geared up with tight security measures. Arrangements for smooth traffic inflow on that day have been made. Police personnel are always alert to prevent any untoward incident and prevent miscreants from indulging in mischief.
Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Bhanu Lal Saha is expected to inaugurate the celebration.
According to the official report, Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik, Rural Development Minister Naresh Jamatia, TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Radhacharan Debbarma, ADC Executive Member Joy Bahadur Jamatia, District Sabadhipati Suniti Saha, District Magistrate Sonal Goel and Local MLA Madhab Saha is expected to remain present.
A grand fair is also organised during the two days of Diwali festival, people from various parts of the State enthusiastically visits the Holy place. Altogether 30 stalls will be set.
Altogether 22 CCTV cameras has been installed at the various major areas of the temple and its premises.
Besides, massive search operation has initiated across the area on Saturday in all public places, motor-vehicles, hotels, restaurants, busy market places with bomb and dog squads.
To ensure safe and secure celebration of Diwali festival, a total of 10 watch towers have been set up and one Police assistance booth has also been installed to avoid any kind of untoward incidence.
With the ensuing diwali festival, the officials of the Tripura State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) have already ensured that the noise pollution level should not exceed the specified levels on diwali.
A team comprising TSPCB officials will patrol the city from afternoon till late night on diwali to check any breach in sound levels.
In another good news for the city, the highest permissible sound limit for fire crackers in the state is been fixed at 90 decibel at 5 metres in a public place on the occasion of Diwali.
However, police have also put a blanket ban on bursting of crackers between 10 pm and 6 am. Loudspeakers are a strict no after 10pm.
