AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): Transportation from Binonkobra to Lalit Bazar area is badly hampered as the road connecting both the areas are left in deplorable condition.

Stuffed with deep pits and pot holes, the road from Binonkobra to Lalit Bazar area has turned to a accident zone.

The bad condition of the road is strewed with several ditches on the road resulting jerk to the passengers as well as the owner of the vehicles.  Besides, the risks of four wheeler toppling in these ditches always run high.

At every enclosure or so there are deep pits and potholes which is dangerous for vehicle driving, said locals. Erosion of pre-mix is seen here and there which create problem for the drivers to drive safely and smoothly on this road, added locals.

Regretting the poor condition of the road, which was posing danger to life and property the locals said that they have complaint for several timed but till day no initiatives has been taken.

Poor maintenance of roads and streets poses a danger to the public. The road is filled with craters and cracked surfaces. As a result of which many vehicles get stuck in the middle of the road.

Despite several representations to the authorities concerned, steps have not been taken to re-lay the road, alleged locality.

The roads are filled with stone chips and cements, which appears as a leading cause of deadly accidents. The only thing visible on the road is ditches and pot holes resulting to accidents and inconvenience in travelling.

Day after day people are facing serious trouble due to this poor condition of the road. Though, the matter is being informed to the concerned authority but no action. The localities alleged that over past many days several accidents have taken place. However, the localities have demanded for the immediate renovation of the road.
