AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN): In a major breakthrough, Companyganj Police of Bangladesh successfully managed to arrest the allegedly accused Rehana Begum in and allegation of trafficking five children to Bangladesh, confirmed sources on Monday.
Accused Rehana Begum along with five children will be handed over to Boarder Security Force (BSF) by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), sources added.
It is to be mentioned here that allegedly accused Rehana Begum (49) who has been staying in her son’s house, trafficked five children to Bangladesh. Reportedly, accused Rehana Begum hailed to her son’s Mohammed Ali Hussain house at Gokulpur village under Udaipur police station in Gomati District On October 17.
According to the report lodged by the family members at RK Pur Police Station, Rehana Begum with a temptation of showing Muharram procession and buying them new things and dresses took the children outside of the house and did not return to home.
Getting no clue of the children arrival the parents rushed to the RK Pur police station and lodged complaint.
During the interrogation, Mohammed Ali Hossain's wife Kalpana Begum said that her mother in law might have taken the children across the border in Sonamura to her husband's home in Noakhali. Besides, Kalpana Begum said that the other four missing children are close relatives of Rehana.
The children have been identified-Priyam Hussain (8 month), Tuheen Choudhury (5), Nasreen Begum (4 and half), Abir Choudhury (11 and half) and Saheen Choudhury (9).
On the other hand, the family members of the 8-month old child went to Bangladesh on Sunday after they failed to make any contact with the accused Rehana Begum.
Reportedly, Mohammed Ali Hossain (26) son of Rehana begum got married to Kalapana Bengum (24) of nearby Khilpara area and settled down in Gokulpur few years back.
However, it is to be mention here that the Companyganj Police has already arrested the five children along with the accused Rehana Begum. Soon after interrogation the police will handed over the accused and the five children to the Border Security Force.
