BELONIA, Oct 21 (TIWN): As many as 88 inter-community Durga pujas are being organized in South Tripura’s Belonia, this year to maintain its decades-old tradition of religious and communal harmony among different sects and communities. Besides Hindus, Muslims and Christians are also participating in Durga puja in different locations under three Sub Division of the South Tripura District. This is a unique instance of communal harmony. In the recent times when communal flare up has been reported from different parts of the country it is indeed heartening to note that Tripura is showing that one could move in the positive direction. Several clubs had to erect barricades to stop the entry of the pandal hoppers. But in some clubs the gates were thrown open.LED lighting will be an added attraction that will attract the pandal hoppers. The existing paradox of goddesses being worshiped and women being discriminated against in the same land will come alive this year in Durga Pujas across South Tripura District with pandals sporting themes, which endorse women empowerment.Elaborate traffic arrangements were made for smooth convenience during pandal visits.

Many drop gates will be made across South Tripura to prevent entry of vehicles near puja pandals. Special arrangements will also be made for parking private vehicles during the rush hours. However, emergency roads are also identified for the smooth convenience during the emergency hour. Describing about the puja celebration is has been mentioned that huge number of police and TSR are being deployed to maintain peace. Puja organizers seem a little bit upset but still continuing with their work in full fledges to meet the deadline.

The state has always been witnessing theme based puja pandals, this year also the Puja organizer of South Tripura are busy to depict the holy place Maa Durga and many others are busy to bring up with a social message to the people.
