Kumarghat: Durga Puja-2015: Organizers set the tune of festivity with grand arrangements

KAMALPUR, Oct 21, (TIWN): The festivity of Durga Puja took Kumarghat into its grip from the very night of Maha Panchami. Visitors thronged onto the streets to enjoy the pulsating tune of the festivity. And the organizers left no stone unturned by arranging huge Pujas with pomp and gaiety. Police also found strict and up to duty round the clock.

Youth Club: This organizer of Motorstand area arranged Puja since 1978. This year they organized the Puja with a budget of 14, 00, 000 rupees. They represented the vivid and diversified culture of the state in their pandal and idol. Besides they arranged for blood donation, quiz competition etc.

Subhas Sangha: Since 1979 this organizer used to arrange Puja yearly. Their huge pandal got erected by Kumaresh Pal at Nabadwip. The idol had been erected by Kumaresh Pal, a club member. Raju Pal from Nadia did the lighting. They donated clothes to 400 people. And they also arranged for blood donation camp. This year their budget was 18, 00, 000 rupees.

Deshabandhu Chittaranjan Club: This organizer of Pabiacharra made their pandal and idols with the theme “Context of freedom”. The entrance of their pandal was India gate and then the main pandal was Red Fort. Inside the Red Fort, goddess Durga in the form of Bharatmata killed the Britishers as demons. In their lighting and decoration the concept of freedom reflected very nicely. Their budget this year was of 30, 00, 000 rupees. The club donated clothes to 250 persons and felicitated the former and retired security personals of the Kumarghat area.
