Poor banking service left the consumers to suffer

AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): Despite of several initiatives taken to improve the poor banking service in the Bakshanagar Block area, the consumers of the banks are facing prolonged days of harassment.

Reportedly there are a total of three banks in the area to provide service to the consumers of the area. They are State Bank of India located at Moti Nagar, United Bank of India and Tripura Gramin Bank.

Alleging about the banking service of the SBI in area, locals complained that due to the poor internet connection the consumers had to face harassment when they rush for any urgent work in the bank. Whenever the consumers visit the bank for transaction, the employee replies that there is no link.

Consumers even complained that to open a saving account in the bank they had to face trouble. The employees of the bank ask to visit later with an assurance that next day the account will surely open, but the next day never comes.

Besides, the consumer also complained about the misbehaviour of the SBI employees towards them. Further, they also complained about the rude behaviour of the employees of the UBI branch.

Reportedly, after seven months of regular visit to the bank and after several quarrel with the manager and the employees finally Rafi Kul Islam manage to get his pass book. Though he has submitted all his documents and money on time still the bank authority was not providing him the pass book. Finally after prolonged seven months of struggle he got his pass book.

However, many consumers has completed regarding many other issue. They further said that the work which can be completed within a day, the concern bank take 10 to 20 days to accomplish the work.
