Durga Puja: Security beefed up at Kailashahar

KAILASHAHAR, Oct 16 (TIWN): Along with the whole State, Police Administration of Unakoti District has geared-up with high security in the sub-division.

Detailing about the security measure, Police Super of Unakoti District Jal Singh Meena said that altogether 500 police personals including TSR will be deployed in both the sub-division to avoid any kind of untoward incident in the area.

Police picketing will be deployed in 70 places of the sub-divisions and temporary drop gates will be installed in 20 places of the area. Besides, a total of 15 Police Helping booths will be installed.

In order to avoid any untoward incident in the sub-division, altogether 24 CCTV camera will be installed in the areas where massive crowd is expected. It has been mentioned that a total of 7 CCTV cameras will be installed at Kailashahar.

CCTV camera will be very important for the safety of people, as during festival time pick-pocketers increase at a high.

Besides, 8 temporary drop gates at Kailashahar and 13 at Kumarghat will be installed to keep check in crowd.

To ensure proper security and to keep strict vigilance across the Sub-division the police personals will be deployed in plain clothes.

However, Police Super of Unakoti District Jal Singh Meena urged the public to coordinate with the police so that no untoward incidents occur.

According to the sources, altogether 163 puja are being conducted in the sub-division. Among them 62 Puja are conducted under Kailashahar Police Station and 70 are under Kumarghat Police Station.

Besides, 13 Puja are being organized under Irani Police Station and 15 are under Pecharthal Police Station 18 Puja are conducted.

BSF has been asked to maintain strict surveillance in entire stretch of Indo-Bangla border along with Tripura.

Police administration has also arranged tight security measures in Kumarghat area. However, Police is hopeful of a trouble free and peaceful Puja.

However, amid inclement weather, puja organizers seem a little bit upset but still continuing with their work in full fledges to meet the deadline.
