Vigilance team visits vegetable markets to check the price hike

AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): After prolonged suffering and chaos faced by the common people, the ever puffed vigilance team of Food, Civil supplies and Consumers Affairs Minister Bhanulal Saha finally managed to check the scenario of the vegetables price hike in the market.

For last several days that the common people are being suffering due to the price hike in the most of the commodities. But none of the authorities could manage time to look in to the market status and to think about the welfare of the common people.

Along with the hike in the onion prices, vegetables prices have also soared in the state just ahead of the auspicious celebration Durga Puja festival.

Even after months of price hike of Onion, which has almost touched the sky, Food, Civil supplies and Consumers Affairs Minister Bhanu lal Saha was in long yawning siesta to check the price hike of the onions and the vegetables in the wholesale as well retail market.

However, it is worthy to mention that Food, Civil supplies and Consumers Affairs Minister finally manage to set up vigilance team in the market.

The vigilance team made a visit to the shops and markets of Tulsibati Bazaar, GB Bazaar, Battala market, kamanchowmuhani fruit shop and others.

However, no much discrepancy is noticed in the market by the vigilance team and hence no complain is being filed.

It is to be mentioned here that, so far the price hikes of the vegetables have upset the budgets of the lower and middle class families.  

However, the department is keen to conduct few more inspection to the markets by the vigilance team in the coming days.
