AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Agartala Press Club on Monday organized a Mega Health camp with the initiative of Divine Gastro and Liver Clinic at Press Club.

Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Bhanulal Saha has formally inaugurated the Mega Health camp in the presence of Dr. Amitabha Ray and Dr. Pradip Bhowmik.

More than 80 journalists have done their check-ups from the renowned doctors.

However, the liver diagnosis through ‘fibro scan liver test’ has started from morning 8 AM. All the journalists who have registered their name were being checked.

Liver functioning, thyroid test, body weight, and other test were also be done in the camp. Besides, full body has been tested that is body composition analysis scan.  

A FibroScan is a relatively new test that can reveal any fibrosis or fatty deposits within the liver. It is a non-invasive, quick and simple test that works using ultrasound and gives an immediate result.

Besides, thyroid test is also been done as it is a gland found in the neck. Its main function is to make hormones. Thyroid function tests are blood tests that check the levels of the hormones (chemicals) made by the thyroid gland. Some thyroid function tests also check the level of a hormone made by the pituitary gland in the brain, which acts on the thyroid gland.
