AGARTALA, October 5 (TIWN): Prolonged deplorable condition of the Internet connectivity provided by BSNL, hits the people of the state with acute disruption in the day to day work through internet service.

Just before the Durga Puja festival, the people had to face harassment due to the poor internet service by the BSNL.  People had to face trouble during any kind transaction in the bank and had to wait for prolonged many hours as the bank officials could not get the link.

Besides, the people also can not withdraw their money from the ATM, as when they visit the ATM it shows link down.  Bank services were also affected due to interruption of broadband internet connection in the city, creating inconvenience to the customers.

Even as mobile network service continues to remain in a pathetic condition, the Government run BSNL service has failed in providing Internet service too. Prolonging its worst service in most of the areas in the District, the BSNL officials seems to remain clueless and higher authority in Agartala remains mute over the issue.

It has been several years that the BSNL is providing service in the State but till day no improvement has been witnessed yet rather it has turned worst, said a consumer.

Another customer complaint that, series of open letters to BSNL have been published in local newspapers and complaints lodged in the interest of the BSNL customers, but nothing has changed.

However, when all the information and the works are mostly done through the internet service, the state is still dealing with the slow connectivity of the internet service.

Central Government have been launching several schemes which the common people can access through internet so that they do not have to go door-to-door to gather information about the schemes but the poor connectivity of the internet has paralysed ever sector of the state.

However, if the condition of internet prolonged than it may hamper the economy of the state and create obstacles on the way towards betterment.
