AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): Despite several tall claims taken by the Tripura Police to make the city safe for the dwellers, there is a continuous report of murder from different parts of the state and mainly from Agatala city.
Yet in another bizarre incident, a body of a youth is recovered from Chittaranjan road on Sunday morning.
The deceased is identified as Ujjal Debnath son of Manik Debnath and is resident of Jogendranagar.
Sources said that few localites of the area spotted the body in hanging position on Sunday early morning and informed at the east police station.
Getting the information, a team of police personnel of east police station rushed to the spot and recovered the body. However, police also scrutinize the area but couldn’t discover any relevant evidence from the area regarding whether it is a murder or suicide.
Police said that sharp injuries were spotted on the bodies of the deceased.
Police is further suspecting that the youth might have committed suicide over family issue and frustrations.
However, after post-mortem in AGMC hospital police has handed over the body to the family members of the deceased.
Agartala, being the capital of the state, has been developing at a rapid pace. This urbanization has also led to certain factors which have a bearing on the crime rate in the city.
Day after day dead bodies are being recovered from several parts of Agartala city and police is silent over this issue. It appears that the duty of police is so far limited to report the murder case and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Apart from taking any strict action police is busy in making tall claims in front of the public and fool people around.
Recently police has also failed to unearth whether Pritam was murdered or he had committed suicide, but a deep injury mark on his neck which clearly tales that he was murdered by his wife Suchismita on last week.
Police is also in dark with the Santa Saha murder case and after months of the murder police is yet failure to nab any culprits regarding the incident.
Tripura has become dystopia of crimes where one after other day heinous incident related to murder is reported from every corner and police is simply playing the role silent spectator.
Police has however lodged a complaint and is further investigating the case.
