AGARTALA / DHARMANAGAR, Sep 28 (TIWN): To mark its protest against Centre and state’s apathy over the miserable condition of NH44 inside Assam and Tripura congress is all set to block the NH44 on Monday morning. However CPI-M led Left Front govt has gone out to project Congress led Assam govt as well as the Union govt solely responsible for the situation in NH44. PCC president Birajit Sinha who personally monitoring the protest programme, on Sunday blamed the Manik Sarkar led govt for the present crisis. ‘The state govt did nothing to repair the NH44 which has been taken over from the union govt last years only to misuse fund and to engage its labourers in the NH44 maintenance work’. The transfer of NH44 to state has deprived roughly 10 thousand people from getting work they used to get when GREEF was in charge of NH44. The politics over the NH44 will certainly continue up to ensuing municipal election slated to be held in December next. PCC president briefing the media today said blockade will be build up in 16 places along the NH44 inside Tripura. When he will led his workers at Khayerpur, CLP leader Sudip Roy Barman, a staunch foe of Birajit Sinha turning to be a close friend, lead congress workers at Karamchera and Sinha’s close associate Biswabandhu Sen look after Churaibari blockade. The blockade will start at 11 AM in the Momday morning and continue till 2 PM unless the administration uses force to clear the life line of Tripura.Ruling CPI-M on Sunday criticized the Assam govt in its mouthpiece ‘Daily Desher Katha’ saying that Assam govt has constantly evade its responsibility and unmask its anti people attitude.

Quoting the Assam PWD minister Ajanta Neog’s press conference, CPI-M mouthpiece said Assam govt has evades its responsibilities and rests it on the NHIDCL. Criticizing Neog’s statement on NH44 the CPIM mouthpiece questioned the Assam govt’s role in its own roads. The party vows to continue its stir against the center’s apathy and call upon the people to rally behind it to protest congress led Assam govt and Modi led NDA govt. the daily however remained silent on the state of the Tripura part of NH44.

Meanwhile the price of essential commodities has risen to all time high thereby gradually brewing common man’s sentiments against the state govt. the other opposition parties viz BJP, TMC, INPT ect remained mere spectator when people’s suffering gone beyond description.
