AGARTALA, SEPTEMBER27 (TIWN): With the aim to promote healthy living and maintain healthy heart condition, IMA building has organised a 'Heart Care Campaign' to encourage residents to take better care of their heart.

Keeping eye on the upcoming World Heart Day on September 29, a free health camp is organised at IMA building on Sunday to keep a check on the healthy heart of the people.

The ‘Heart Care Campaign' is designed to encourage residents to take better care of their health by arranging regular check-ups and tests.

As a part of the health camp, two eminent Cardiologist Snakha Subra Das and Subrajit Das from Kolkata as a part of the free health camp conducted free cardio treatment of the patient at the IMA building.  Altogether 164 people have registered their names for the free cardiac treatment.

Heart disease continues to be one of the biggest threats to the health of the most of the resident, which is why our drive to encourage the community to take advantage of the free tests on World Heart Day is so important, said IMA President Pradip Bhowmik.  

World Heart Day is a chance for people across the globe to take part in the world's biggest intervention against cardiovascular disease (CVD).

This World Heart Day, our focus is on creating healthy heart environments. By ensuring that everyone has the chance to make healthy heart choices wherever they live, work and play, World Heart Day encourages us all to reduce our cardiovascular risk, and promotes a heart-healthy planet for those around us.

As a part of the upcoming World Heart Day, a rally is also organised by ILS hospital to aware the people for maintaining healthy heart.  The rally was inaugurated by AMC Mayor Parafullajit Sinha.

Overeating, lack of exercise, unhealthy diets and high blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels are all factors which can trigger heart disease and threaten the lives.  The rally is organised to set up to drive home the message that heart problems can be prevented.

The aim is to improve heart condition by encouraging people to make lifestyle changes and promoting education about ways to be good to your heart.
