Poor road condition hits villages
TIWN

AGARTALA, September 27 (TIWN): The only source of communication for 700 to 800 families of Bhanupara, North Akcherri and bangali Para along with Rahu Para with Nutan Bazar is the only kuccha road, and the box culvert on the kuccha road is lying collapsed since 2 to 3 months.

All the tall claims of the government about providing basic amenities in the fur flung areas turned bleak with deplorable condition of Bangali Para of North Akcherri ADC village under Karbok block.

Despite repeated assurances by the Ministers the authority has failed to improve the road connectivity and acute scarcity of the drinking water in the area.

The villagers alleged that there is no road connectivity in front of the house of many people. People of the area have to travel through kuccha road. Besides, the leaders assured to construct road from Dheppacherri near Jatanbari upto Tulagach, but the days passes away only in the name of assurance. The house of former Transport Minister Ranjit Debnath is located at a same periphery where construction of road was supposed to be conducted from Dheppacherri up to the residence of former Minister, but construction work has not yet been started.

Though repeated complaints were placed before Panchayat Chairperson, administrative authorities, MLA and BDOs regarding the issue, all requests have fallen on deaf ears. No initiative has been taken yet to solve the problem.
