KAMALPUR, September 26, (TIWN): When hundreds of villagers suffering daily through deplorable road-way, the elected Panchayat authority and its heavyweight leaders are busy in preparation for planning the road construction.

For more than decades the inhabitants of ward no1 under Noagaon panchayat of Durgachowmuhani R. D. Block are pleading for the road from the house of one Naru Deb to Uria basti via Putiacharra.

After tall claims made by CPIM leaders before election, the locale voters made the party’s candidate to win from the ward. But after the election was over, none of the CPI-M leaders looked back to their promises.

Almost five hundred villagers use this 1.5 km road daily for their day to day communication. For the people of Putiacharra as well as Uria basti it is the only link with the rest of the sub-divisional town. But the muddy road with ditches and pot holes turned to be a nightmare. When asked, the Pradhan of the panchayat,  Sanjib Ghosh expressed that, the authority was informed about the condition of the road and hence plans are to be made soon. for the remedy of the situation.
