Resentment brewed over the embezzlement during the Inter-College Football Tournament

KAILASHAHAR, August 30 (TIWN): With the recent completion of the Inter-College Football Tournament, various sports organization and sports lovers had bumped up with different hurdles and irregularities.

Expressing grief and resentment over the irregularities made during the inter-college football tournament, the civilians are expected to give deputation to Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty.

It has been mentioned that three days long the 9 Inter College Football Tournament has been organized at Kailashahar. Earlier, before the state level foot ball tournament a Sub-division level tournament was played in the ground as for which the ground was not fit for another tournament soon, which brewed resentment.

However, in issue broke up during the tournament, where after registering the name in the tournament the players of the Tripura University could not take part and in the next day they had to return from Kailashahar.

However, it has been pointed that compare to the allotted money the arrangements were so poor that it brewed resentment among the sport lovers and the various sports organization who came to participate in the tournament. 

Secondly, no stage has been prepared for the inauguration programme. Besides, there were no sitting arrangements for the journalist.

As there were no announce made prior to the tournament, only countable spectators were present to enjoy the state level tournament. Besides, it has been mentioned that during the other tournament thousands of spectators use to be present at the stadium to enjoy the tournaments.

Besides, the players also had to face problems with the food and lodging during the tournament tenure, they had to take in an unused pond.

During the state level tournaments where no generator has been rented, on the other hand, the concern committee did not even to bother to make presentable play cards for the each 23 team of players.

Altogether, Rs. 4.50 Lakh has been allotted for the tournament.
