KAMALPUR, August 14 (TIWN): Binoy Badal Dinesh club grabbed the prestigious Evergreen Tournament by defeating their rival Kanailal Halam para by 2-1 in the final of the 13th edition of the tournament here at Kalibari ground this afternoon. Although both the teams lost many chances to score goals but poor defence of the opponent made Binoy Badal Dinesh victorious.

In the crowded final where Sports Minister Shahid Choudhury remained present became really attractive for the sportsman spirit of the youngsters of both the teams.

 In the 24^th minute of the play Rajib Sadhan Jamatia first scored for Binoy Badal Dinesh. Then in the 50^th minute of the game Piena Halam from Kanailal Halam para levelled the score. Two minutes before the final whistle, in 58^th minute Dara Halam scored the triumphant goal from Binoy Badal Dinesh.

 During the play both the teams missed several chances. National referre Anjan Banik blew the whistle in today’s match along with Sukomal Dey and Nantu Dutta.

After the game the Minister, two MLAs Bijoy Lakshmi Sinha and Anjan Das rewarded the teams, players and other individuals in separate categories. 

The winning team cash award of 11, 000 rupees along with the Champions’ trophy. The runners up team got a cash award of 8, 000 rupees with Runners’ trophy. Prizes were also distributed for best audience and other categories.
