AGARTALA, August 10 (TIWN): To redress the grievances of pensioners who retired the Tripura Border Security Force (BSF) Frontier, Shaalbagan organised a 2 days Pension Adalat from Monday for the all the pensioners or the retired persons of Northeastern states of the country. BSF, Tripura Frontier DG D S Bhatia on Monday inaugurated the two day long programme.
The pensioners from the state along with NE states of Assam has come to Shaalbagan on Monday to get the facility being provided by the BSFs here, whereas the pensioners from other northeastern states were unable to arrive here in Tripura due to the lack of proper transportation facilities, said BSF official.
This is the 10th Pension Aadalat being conducted by the BSF Tripura Frontier this year. Addressing the programme DG D S Bhatia said that the programmes are being conducted every year under the initiative of the BSF to address the grievances related to revision of pension in respect of BSF pensioners belonging to the states of Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland and bordering areas of
He had interacted with the retired persons of BSF and assured every help to sort out their pension matters.
Talking to the reporters on Monday Bhatia had expressed his deep desire to see the pensioners/family pensioners free from any sort of pension related problems in their retired life.
DG BSF reiterated his hope to settle grievances of all retirees of North-east by holding such type of ‘Pension Adalat’.
BSF pensioners in respective areas and states whose pension case has not yet revised by PAD BSF have been advised to submit their application to PAD BSF as early as possible along with supporting documents.
Through this initiative pensioners got the opportunity to submit their papers/vital information to Pay and Accounts Division (PAD), BSF for revision of pension/family pension.
However, the representatives from Delhi and other parts had attended the programme on Monday being organised at Tripura BSF frontier, Shaalbagan. The programme will continue till August 11.
