AGARTALA, August 9 (TIWN): Sujata Sen, Director of British Council Eastern India on Sunday unfurled the curtain of ‘2nd All Tripura Mega Quiz competition 2015’ at Nazrul Kalakshetra’ organized by Tripurainfoway.com (TIWN). Quiz is all about “quick thinking” and is a process of gaining knowledge, said Sen. While launching the 2nd All Tripura Mega Quiz competition 2015 sponsored by TIWN Mrs Sen said the British Council of Eastern India have a plan to implement some of the British Council sponsored projects here in Tripura. Speaking at the inaugural program Sujata Sen, further added that the British Council’s work in East India and covers 13 States including partnerships with State Governments in English language training; partnerships with schools and higher education institutions; English Language Teaching direct through a Teaching Centre; arts and creative economy; young people and sports through Premier Skills; examinations services and library and information services.Before joining the British Council she has been a journalist, columnist and a publishing editor.Gracing the occasion, TIWN editor Saumen Sarker expressed joy over seeing such huge crowd in the auditorium and inspired the students for showing such passion towards participating in the competition.Tripurainfoway.com have been organizing quiz programmes in Agartala since last one year but this year the quiz programme has been organized under the banner of “Anything under the sun” generating great interest among quiz enthusiasts and students.

With the aim to provide a platform to the peoples including youths and students for knowledge and information sharing intellectual stimulation as also for constrictive entertainment, Tripurainfoway.com is again back with its 2nd mega quiz competition in Tripura.

As per the rules  screening test is done in the hall by the eminent quiz Masters Subhashis Kar,  Dr. Indraneel Bhowmik , BBC journalist Subir Bhowmik and all together 16 teams are selected for the quiz competition. While the main contest continued with the participants, questions including and those unanswered by the team on the dias was put to the audience and attractive prizes was distributed among the audience for the correct answers. 

However, the competition is conducted between the final 16 selected teams.

The trio quize masters including Former BBC journalist Subir Bhowmik, Dr. Indraneel Bhowmik, and Subhasish kar of the ‘All Tripura mega Quiz’ has successfully managed to grab the attention of the participants and the audience to remain glued to their seats.  

The enthusiastic approach of the participants further raised the glory of the competition.

The prizes for the winning team include two laptops and Rs.10, 000 cash, second prize includes two computer sets Rs.8,000 cash and the Third winning team will be awarded with a cash of Rs.6000 and two mobile sets and there are also attractive prizes for  audience.

However, students from schools, colleges, university and all other quiz loving community will participate in the program and will brush the glory of the competition.

It is to be mentioned here that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar inaugurated the 2014 tripurainfoway.com quiz competition at town hall on July 13 and was telecast live across Tripura and viewed state wide.
