AGARTALA, August 9 (TIWN): In order to encourage the tribal students of the state towards higher education, the Higher Education Department has free coaching, informed an official here on Saturday.

It is worthy to mention that with an aim to encourage the tribal students to sit for the various competitive exams including Joint Entrance exam, IAS, IPS, ISF, TCS and Banking services, the Department has introduced free coaching.

Therefore, the free coaching would help in the successful completion of admission test for Medical, Engineering and other professional courses.

According to the decision taken in the recent meeting, the State Level Monitoring Committee has decided to provide coaching by the expert faculties of different colleges.

The colleges where the free coaching will be given are- Dasarath Deb Memorial College of Khowai district, Dharmanagar Degree College of North Tripura, Iswar Chandra Vidasagar Degree College of Belonia, Kamalpur Degree College of Dhalai, Ramkrishna College of Kailashahar in Unakoti, Ramthakur College of Agartala in West and Netaji Subhash College of Udaipur.

During the meeting, it has been decided that for the benefits of the tribal students of far-flung areas, all kinds of major initiatives will be taken.
