KAMALPUR, August 8 (TIWN): In the advent of ensuing election and at the end of the 2014-2015 fiscal Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat published population data sheet with several errors. And the then SDM signed and accepted that data sheet on 25th July last. It created controversy and dilemma as whether the faults were accidental or intentional.

Like previous years, the Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat published the population and family data sheet mentioning each ward separately. But this list consisted of some serious errors and faults.

In ward number 01 the number of SC, ST & Others family had mentioned as 28, 0 and 246 respectively. And the total family numbers got mentioned as 247 in place of 274. In ward number 02 the SC, ST & others family got mentioned as 45, 03 & 290 respectively. And the total number of families got shown as 219 instead of actual 338. In ward number 03, the families of under SC, ST & Others category got mentioned as 95, 03 & 337 whereas the total family of this ward got shown as 334 instead of 435. Again in the case of ward 06, the number of families for SC, ST & Others got shown as 44, 01 & 238. The total family in this ward got shown as 238 instead of 283. As a result the total family of Nagar Panchayat remained 3335 instead of actual 3356.

What seemed more mysterious and shocking that, the then SDM R. H. Kumar IAS signed that faulty data sheet and made it accepted. It created a controversy and dilemma that whether such a blunder was intentional or accidental.
