AGARTALA, August 8 (TIWN): “Govt. job”, the only hope for the educated youths of Tripura, as from business to tourism everywhere Tripura is considered as backward due to the lack of proper planning and futuristic efforts by the govt.. But whether on the one hand educated youths are increasing in numbers, and so many degree holders are walking on roads in search of job, govt.’s deprivation in distributing jobs in proper way is increasing tensions among the unemployed of the state.

Recently few youths of Jatanbari had set an example, by locking CPI-M party office with the claims that govt. violated the rules while distributing the jobs on the month of July. But after 1 month ofdelaying when CPI-M cadres promised them to seal the matter, but till date “no action” has been taken yet, claims unemployed youths.

According to the sources, 8 posts have been filled up recently as light-men in Power department at Jatan Bari. People at Jatanbari were waiting for the job-list of this particular job, but surprisingly when the job offer came out, not a single post had been found as reserved for the Jatan Bari locals. Moreover, all the 8 posts were distributed to the people of Korbok which is a different sub-division.

As a result, resentment brewed among unemployed youths of Jatanbari against the ruling Govt. for its continuous violation of recruitment policy, while distributing jobs. Before 1 month few deprived youths locked CPI-M party office at Jatanbari, due to which CPI-M cadres assured them to solve the issue, but till day no step has been taken, report says.

The youths through this protest showed the power of “common-people”, added a local, and for a long time no-one was allowed to step into the party office at Jatanbari. The event took place on Thursday evening till 7 pm.  Accordingly a disorder environment approached when CPI-M Party office had been locked by jobless youth.

At last to save the repo of the party, the CPI-M cadres sat with them and assured them to find a solution   of it, whether everyone knows after releasing of offers no job is returned; unless it knocks the door of Court.

Depriving the local people and intentional distribution jobs to other district or subdivisions is an undergoing problem of the state. After so many allegation came against the state govt. for violating the recruitment policy, state govt. is happily performing step motherly attitudes to the youths of the sate and distributing jobs as per its wish.

Tripura has third highest unemployment, 2013’s report says. Tripura is a state, which has no proper industry where people can run their livelihood, neither it has any proper source of income.

 In few states people often expanse their livelihoods by tourism, but at Tripura all the source of income has been closed with the negligence role of the state govt. So govt. job has left as the only way, but here govt. is engaged to depriving the youths, alleged one of the youth.
