AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited ( TSECL) yet again received a blow at the High Court for illegally depriving its employee.
The judgment was a setback for ruling party TSECL employee union. A whip was issued by the union for not registering any case in court against state government. Ninty four percent of the employee came under the pressure only six employees overruled the union whip. A case was registered in court on 2011 seeking justice.
Final hearing of the case was held on june 29, 2015. Justice S. Talapatra directed to implement the order within three months after getting the written order, if failed than an nine percent interest should be given by TSECL. The high court judgment will only benefit six employees who filed cases. This has caused serious resentment among other employees.
It is mentionable here that before TSECL was power deparment -388 employee were group – D and C were working as DRW. As per decision, on July 1, 2008 all were regularized but no offer was issued. After two years, offers was issued in 27 – 12 – 2010, surprisingly appointment letter after three months.
The employees demand full benefit from 2008. Besides, TSECL employees have no pension and any other benefits. Whereas it was decided they will be regularized as power department employee. After long hearing the high court gave the judgment in favor of six employees only.
