AGARTALA, August 4 (TIWN): Tripura Employees’ Coordination Committee on Tuesday mentioned about the memorandum placed on July 25, 2015 to Chief Minister and said if a proper initiative has not been taken soon then the committee would be bound to raise protest in a press conference at Press Club.
According to General Secretary Kanulal Debnath, on July 25 the committee has placed memorandum demanding to start Pay Band and Grade Pay which has been sanctioned during the Central 6th Pay commission to various post which includes graduate teachers, Nurse, ASI and many others.
They also said that with the increase of 6 percent DA for the Central employees the percentage will go up to 119 percent. But with 5 percent increase in DA of the state still has a gap of 85 percent.
Therefore, the concern employees are getting Rs. 3500 to Rs. 10, 000 less in their salary which is a great loss for the state employees.
Talking about the house rent allowance, He said there is no limit mentioned in the allowance given by the Central or in other state but in Tripura it is set up to Rs 2000.
They mentioned that under central scheme or in other state the Gratuity limit is Rs. 10 lakh where the Tripura has limit of Rs. 8 lakh. Beside they also mentioned about many other demands.
The members of the committee said that if an immediate solution is not brought to the demands then they will be bound to go for a mass protest.
However, it is also scheduled to go for mass demonstration in the September.
