AGARTALA/ UDAIPUR, August 4 (TIWN): Despite of adequate availability of medicines in the pharmacy, Dr. Sushmita Paul of Tripura Sundari Sub Divisional Hospital prescribes medicine of another company and asks the patients to buy it from the private medical stores, confirmed sources.

Due to the negligence of the doctor over prescribing proper medicines to the patients, may lead to various illnesses of the patients.

The poor patients who comes with a hope that they will get better facility by spending less amount as it is a Government under taken hospital turn stressed over the hefty amount of bill receives after they buy the medicine from the private hospital.

Few days ago in her duty hour, she refused a total of sixteen patients to get admit in the hospital without giving any proper reason.

According to sources, Dr. Sushmita Paul has been found associated with different types of medicine companies and also takes money illegally from those medicines companies.

Due to the illegal practice in the Government hospital the patients are suffering from proper treatment and had to spend more money without any fruitful result.

Reportedly, Dr. Sushmita Paul is a relative of Directorate of Health Official so no action has taken for her illegal activities in this hospital.

However, the hospital has also been suffering from acute shortage of doctors.

Altogether four doctors are appointed which is not sufficient to run the Hospital of the sub-division.

Further, the hospital also lacks adequate facility of ambulance, lightning facilities including many others.
