Regular patrolling to begin at Girl’s School road area

KAILASHAHAR, August 3 (TIWN): Acting over the protest staged against the negligence of police under Kailashahar sub-division, Superintendent of police Jalsingh Mina assured to start police patrolling at the Girl’s School road area on Monday.

In a meeting, S.P Jalsingh Mina declared that along with two members of the Merchant Association, the department has decided to send a troop of eight police for the patrolling of the area, said Merchant Association Secretary Anil Paul.

Besides, he also assured that from now onwards he himself will look up on all the theft case in the area including the cases which had happened earlier.

The patrolling will be on regular basis so that the people of the area can be free from the stress of the frequent loot and theft in the area, added Paul.

The meeting was held in the presence of all the four losses and four members of Merchant Association.

Before the decision declared by the S. P Jalsingh Mina, in a meeting the Merchant Association decided to hold 12 hour strike in the area but the decision taken by the Police Department stopped them to take the harsh step, said Secretary Anil Paul.

Altogether 3 mobile shops and a stationary shop have been looted costing around Rs. 5 lakh. Pranab Majumder, Chiranjit Ghosh, Shibu Deb and Uttam Deb are the shop owners on Friday night.

Demanding to take strict action against the thief, on Saturday the locals of Kailashahar sub-division staged protest.

The protest has started from morning 11 am and continued around noon 2 pm. During the protest the agitator had burnt tyres to show their resentment and agitation the locals against the Kailashahar police.
