 Poor BSNL service irks the subscribers of Gandacherra sub-division

GANDACHERRA, August 2 (TIWN): Locals of Gandacherra sub-division has been facing huge trouble due to the poor services provided by the telecommunication service provider of BSNL for last several weeks. Mobiles, broadband and landline services across Gandacherra sub-division remain non-functional, complained the locals.

According to the sources, BSNL service at Gandacherra sub-division, are not functional for the last few months. All official works including REGA payment in government organizations has remain close due to the network error in the sub-division.

Therefore, the REGA workers are facing huge problem leading a pathetic life without getting salary on time due to frequent interruption of broadband service, poor connectivity and weak signal.

Admitting the fact about the frequent interruption of broadband service, SDM Bhaskar Dasgupta and DM Dhalai expressed that owe to the poor internet services of BSNL, a large number of MGNREGA Beneficiaries had to face severe problem for getting the payment in recent time resulting break down in man days generation under MGNREGA works.

The services of the Government telecom operator, BSNL’s network are failed for prolonged few weeks. The subscribers of the Sub-division kept on pressing their key pads but none of the numbers could get connected due to the server error. Even the people were not able to receive calls neither can make calls for the entire day.

The locals alleged that many times when they try to make calls money has been deducted though the phone calls are not received by the other side. Even messages could not be delivered but the balance was deducted.

The BSNL subscribers remained upset with the technical problems of the operator. BSNL officials said that due to technical glitches in their main server situated at Chandigarh, the subscribers had to face the problems throughout the day.

We have been often facing problems of abrupt ending calls and poor network in BSNL mobile. Even my landline gave wrong information about pending bill payment some time back despite paying off my dues regularly, complained the locals.

However, the consumers have been regularly complaining about call drops, wrong account information including poor connectivity and technical glitches but till day no initiatives have been taken to resume the problems.
