65 students participated in a cultural workshop

AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): Altogether 65 students have participated in the seven day long cultural workshop organised at North Hurua Madhyamik School with the initiatives of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department and the school authorities, said an official.

The programme will continue till July 30. Addressing the programme, Deputy Director of ICA focused on the importance and need of culture in the society.

During the workshop, altogether 65 students have participated at the dancing, singing and drama.

The artists of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department have trained the students. Amrit Bhattacharjee has been training the students who are interested for singing. Further, Artist Bijan Chanda has been providing training to the students who are interested in drama play.

During the programme, people from all over the district participated at the programme. The programme includes singing, dancing, drama and various other cultural programmes.

Culture includes food habits, dress pattern, language, songs, dance, knowledge, attitude, behaviour, life styles, ritual, religious beliefs and everything that is associated with the activities of life right from birth to the death of a person and to bring forward and to revive the culture ICA has taken this initiative to hold cultural festival at North Hurua Madhyamik School.

As a part of healthy cultural programme, the Information and Cultural Affairs Department has taken the initiative o organize the workshop.
