AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Demanding 5 % hike in booster payment and being deprived of the rights, the All Tripura pensioners associations (ATPA) on Monday hold press conference at press club.
ATPA further demanded 5 % hike in booster payment for the pensioner or else they will stage massive protest in the coming days.
Speaking at the press conference president of ATPA- Santi Ranjan Debnath said pensioners are being deprived due to the negligence of state government. He further said, after the retirement, the employees of the government under takings are not getting the pension as per the deserving norms till date.
“The pensioners of all sections are being deprived of getting appropriate pension benefit due to the negligence of Left Front ruled state government”, Debnath said.
There are numbers of pensioners who dint get 1.85 fixation factor. Those who have gone to retirement from 01-01-06 are deprived of their booster payment. As per the direction of the finance department given on June 25th only 5 % booster payment is hiked for the pensioners who have go to retirement between 01-01-16 to 31-12-05, said Debnath.
The association will also celebrate the 5th foundation day of the ATPA on 29th July at Agartala Krishna Nagar TRTC complex and former MLA Ajay Biswas is scheduled to remain present.
However, working President Paresh Nath Banerjee, Vice President Prafulla Debnath along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.
