AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): Tripura cabinet on Tuesday approved 360 posts for various departments including the department of Forest, Public welfare department (PWD), ARDD and also for health department.

Addressing the media here at civil secretariat Finance minister Bhanu lal Saha said that the cabinet has approved 360 vacant posts in different departments under the government of Tripura.

Detailing the issue he added that among the 360 posts, there is vacancy of 239 posts for PWD engineers, 22 vacant posts in Forest department for the post of clerk, 90 vacant posts for the ARDD Assistant and several other vacant posts in different other departments under the government of Tripura.

There are altogether 800 vacant posts for the nursing staff under health department.  However, recruitment under 300 posts will be done for this year and rest of the posts for the nursing staff will be done simultaneously, added Saha.

The time period for the job of the personnel secretary of the opposition party leader is extended by 5 months.

It is to be mentioned here that there are more than 40,000 unemployed people in the state and after several days, the government has released approvals for only 360 posts.  

Apart from the approvals of different posts he also said that there is rise in the price of salt by 8.89 paise but however the price for the salt will remain fixed at Rs 7 for the consumption of the public.

Referring the Motor vehicle act he further said that with immediate amendment in the act the battery rickshaw to be brought under the Motor vehicle act.
