CPI-M leaders critically injured a daily wage labour

KAILASHAHAR, June 27 (TIWN): A daily wage labour, namely Asad Ali has been critically injured after he and his brother refused to give 50 percent of their wages to the leaders of the CPI-M party on Friday at Jubarajnagar Panchayat area.

The incident took place when both the brothers were returning home after they got their payments under the MGNREGA scheme. On the way to their home, they met two CPI-M leaders, identified as Mansoor Ali and Ishmat Ali, resident of Jubarajnagar Panchayat area, ward no. 4. Both the accused were asking for 50 percent share from the payments that is from the total amount of Rs. 4000, the accused were asking for Rs. 2000. When both of them refused to give any amount of money, the accused went to their houses and brutally beaten both the boys including their mother (Rohibul Biwi, 60). One of the leaders injured Asad Ali with a sharp weapon.

The accused than snatched Rs. 2500 from the victims and managed to flee from the area.

Three of them were then admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial hospital of Kailashahar on Friday.

Detailing about the incident, one of the victims said that the accused leaders were asking 50 percent share from them for prolonged days. Scared victims earlier informed about it to the Panchayat Pradhan Mushahid Ali but no legal action has been taken against the accused.

Case has been registered under Irani Police Station. Further the investigation is going on.
