KHOWAI, June 22 (TIWN): Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar is scheduled to visit the Khowai District on 24th and 25th June of this month to scrutinize the work-progress of several departments under Khowai district.

As per program he is scheduled to visit the Khowai and Teliamura Sub-division, 6 blocks, Gram Panchayat, and the ADC village of the area to look after the several work progress of the area.  

As per the source’s report, aiming to the development of the area, he will look about the different work-progress and he will also make a visit to Kalyanpur RD block, Mungiakami RD block, Tulasikhar RD block, and Poddobill RD block.

Sources said that, that officials are noted on a spree for Kalyanpur RD block, Mungiakami RD block, Tulasikhar RD block, and Poddobill RD block for covering up the different mismanagement of the documents of the official file. Sources confirmed that the alleged corrupt officials are now scared of their suspension, for their alleged embezzlement of money and documents in their work culture.

Sources further said that the officials of the Mugiakami and Tulasikar RD block are working late night to somehow to suppress the corruption of the documents and the alleged embezzlement of money in the department, whereas on the other regular days the office gets closed by three in the evening.

However, talking to Khowai Block Development Officer Utpal Chakma further said that there is no much of tension for the officials of the Khowai and Teliamura block as there is no issue of embezzlement of documents and money.

It is to be mentioned here that a review meeting was held on Monday with the different block official based on the audit reports.  Chief Secretary GSG Ayyangar also visited the Belonia sub-division under south District on Saturday and held a meeting with the BDO’s of the different block.  Speaking at the meeting he said to finish all the pending work of the MGNREGA on time.  He also talked with the officials of the agricultural department and scrutinized about the different work progress of the department.

In a visit to Belonia sub-division Chief Secretary GSG Ayyangar further informed all the BDO’s that there shouldn’t be any more report of embezzlement of money in different government development project.
