UDAIPUR, June 22 (TIWN): In a shocking incident, a 55-year-old woman was molested in her own shop by a gang of miscreants and threw her in a nearby pond on Sunday after she got into argument over some prolonged run conflict.

The locals recovered the injured woman resident of Muslim Para of Udaipur Rajarbaag under Radhakishorepur and informed her family members. She was then admitted to the Tripura Sundari Sub-Divisional Hospital and is in a critical condition.

Son of the 55-year-old victim (Biswajit Das) registered a complaint against the gang of miscreants at the Women Police Station. As a part of investigation, when police asked to identify the miscreants Victim Monju Das took the names- Dhirendra Ghosh, Nitai Ghosh, Rajiv Ghosh, Ratan Ghosh, Prahlad Ghosh, Bhusan Ghosh, Parimal Ghosh, Sagar Das and Sankar Ghosh.

The conflict occurred after the woman took the initiative to construct a building at her house. During the beginning of the construction the gang of miscreants opposed to construct the building which was allegedly constructed over the road.

After the construction work has been done, the gang was not allowing the family to open their shop and it has been 1 month and 3 days that the shop remained closed due to the torture done over the family by the gang.

Reportedly, despite of several obligations by the gang, the 55-year-old victim (Monju Das), resident of Muslim Para of Udaipur Rajarbaag under Radhakishorepur on Sunday opened her shop after 1 month and 3 days. When she opened the shop, the gang entered into the shop and started to throw all the items of the shop here and there.

Scared with the activities of the gang, when the victim tried to stop the culprits from creating any kind of nuisance in the shop, the gang molested her and threw her to the nearby pond.

However, later the victim was immediately taken to the Tripura Sundari Sub-Divisional Hospital and is undergoing treatment. Besides, the vicitim’s family had lodged a complaint against the accused gang. Police failed to arrest the culprit.

However, the incident has triggered huge resentment among the locals.
