AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): Two-day long Woman Cultural Festival will commence at Kailashahar on June 25, which will commence on June 25 will continue till June 26.
The festival will be organized with the joint initiatives of the Information and Cultural Affair Department and North-East Culture Centre.
Joint-Director of Information and Cultural Department, T. K Choudhury, said that this initiative has been taken to save the various cultures which are at the edge of extinction. During the programme, along with various cultural performances, different sports competition and discussions will also be observed.
He further said that altogether 200 women representatives from different parts of the state will be invited to attend the programme. Adding to it, Choudhury enhanced that 2 cultural groups of Assam and Manipur will also be invited.
To conclude the concern programmes successfully, in the presence of Sabhadhipati of Unakoti District Council Kalpana Debnath and other dignitaries a working committee and seven sub-committees was constituted.
